When Donald Trump appointed Dr. Scott W. Atlas to his COVID Task Force, he was thrown into a whirlpool of scientific disagreements, policy conflicts, seething egos, politically motivated misinformation, and unscrupulous media manipulation. The Trump administration's handling of the issue is shrouded in myths and lies, and many crucial questions remain unresolved. Is it true that Trump's staff botched the reaction to the pandemic? Were the travel restrictions, lockdowns, and mask mandates made properly? Are Drs. Anthony Fauci and Deborah Birx medical experts or bureaucrats out for a quick buck? Is it true that half a million people died unnecessarily as a result of Trump's incompetence?

Until now, there hasn't been a reliable source who can convey the truth about the situation. In this uncensored insider perspective, Dr. Scott Atlas takes us inside the White House, identifies the key participants in the crisis, and distributes credit and blame where it is due.

The book contains stunning assessments of Task Force members' inadequate knowledge and understanding of COVID research, as well as heated debates with Task Force members, covering many of the most contentious instances that dominated headlines for weeks. Dr. Atlas reveals the truth about science and details the media's aggressive battle to suffocate it, which included canceled interviews, off-camera antagonism in White House briefings, and deliberate misrepresentation of facts. He also gives an inside description of vaccine and other treatment delays and timetables, assesses the impact of the lockdowns on American public health, and indicts Big Business and Big Tech's never-ending battle for the truth.

These disclosures are not found in any other literature. Millions of people who trust Dr. Atlas will want to read this gripping account of what happened behind closed doors in the White House during the twenty-first century's largest public health catastrophe.
