It was named a Best Mystery/Thriller of the Year by Publishers Weekly, a Best Mystery/Thriller of the Month by POPSUGAR, and the Most Anticipated Read of the Year by Crimereads.

This dazzling, whip-smart novel blends crime, fantasy, sci-fi, and thriller as it plumbs the secrets surrounding a Paris-New York aircraft, winning the Goncourt Prize and becoming an international phenomenon.

A senseless act disrupts the lives of hundreds of men and women aboard a trip from Paris to New York in June 2021. Blake, a devout family man who works as a contract murderer; Slimboy, a Nigerian pop star tired of living a lie; Joanna, a fearsome lawyer whose shortcomings have caught up with her; and Victor Miesel, a critically praised but financially unsuccessful writer who unexpectedly becomes a cult hit.

They were all convinced that they were living two lives. Nobody could have predicted how accurate that was. The Anomaly is a brilliant novel that investigates the aspects of ourselves that we don't understand. Hervé Le Tellier's most ambitious work yet is this hilarious variant on the doppelgänger concept, which takes us on a journey from Lagos and Mumbai to the White House.
