P.J. the Funnybunny no longer wants to be a bunny! In this funny beginner book, a young bunny experiences life with various animal buddies. Also, don't miss the delightful sequel, It's Better to Be a Bunny, which is out now! This is a great present for Easter or any time you want to celebrate bunnies.

P.J. the Funnybunny is sick of his large ears and grilled carrots. Being a bear, a bird or a pig would be a lot more fun, right? Follow P.J. as he leaves home and tries to figure out who he is and where he fits in. This bunny, on the other hand, may discover that all he wants to be is... himself!

Beginner Books were produced by Dr. Seuss himself and are enjoyable, funny, and simple to read. The simple words and graphics in these unjacketed hardback early readers inspire children to read independently. These portable packages are great for practicing readers aged 3–7, as well as lucky parents! They are smaller than the famous large-format Seuss picture books like The Lorax and Oh, The Places You'll Go!

About the Author

Marilyn Sadler

Marilyn Sadler expected to be an illustrator after earning a bachelor's degree in fine arts. But when she was allowed to write early in her career, she jumped at it and immediately realized she had found her true calling. But no sad, sentimental stories for her. She enjoys making herself laugh, and as a result, her characters frequently wind up looking ridiculous for various reasons.

Her debut children's book, Alistair Grittle, featured a meticulous little English boy named Alistair Grittle and was written for both Hamish Hamilton in England and Simon & Schuster in the United States. She shifted her focus to a not-so-well-behaved little boy after creating a boy with flawless behavior. P.J. Funnybunny was his name, and he appeared in several Random House novels, including the famed Dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat series.

Marilyn's television credits include two PBS Reading Rainbow episodes with Alistair, an Alistair program for the BBC, three ABC Weekend Specials with P.J. Funnybunny, and a show for Showtime's Shelley Duvall's Bedtime Stories based on her children's book "Elizabeth and Larry."

The Disney Channel created three original movies based on her book "Zenon, Girl of the Twenty-First Century" between 1999 and 2004. Zenon, Girl of the 21st Century, and Zenon the Zequel were among The Disney Channel's highest-rated shows, with Zenon, Girl of the 21st Century, and Zenon the Zequel among the highest-rated shows ever.

The animated series "Handy Manny," created by Marilyn and Roger Bollen, began production in 2004 at Playhouse Disney. The launch of Handy Manny on September 16, 2006, was the highest-rated Playhouse Disney series premiere ever. As Executive Producer of Handy Manny, Marilyn was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2009.
