The antics are relentless, and the baby frogs' minicomics are hilarious and heartfelt. Author and illustrator Dav Pilkey employ a range of techniques to illustrate each frog's perspective, including acrylic paints, colored pencils, Japanese calligraphy, photography, collage, gouache, watercolors, and much more. About the authors: Dav Pilkey

Dav Pilkey
Dav Pilkey was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia as a child. Dav's teachers made him sit in the hallway every day because he was so disruptive in class. Dav, on the other hand, enjoyed drawing and making up stories. In the corridor, he spent his time drawing his unique comic novels, including the first adventures of Dog Man and Captain Underpants.

Dav met a teacher in college who inspired him to draw and write. In 1986, he won a national competition and received his first book, World War Won, as a reward. He wrote several other novels before winning the California Young Reader Medal in 1998 for Dog Breath, which was released in 1994, and the Caldecott Honor in 1997 for The Paperboy.

The Adventures of Super Diaper Baby was the first entire graphic novel spin-off from the Captain Underpants series, and it debuted at #6 on the USA Today bestseller list for all books, both adult and children's, as well as a New York Times bestseller. Another USA Today bestseller, "Super Diaper Baby 2: The Invasion of the Potty Snatchers," followed. The unique format of these graphic novels is meant to inspire children's unrestricted creativity.

His semi-autobiographical writings explore universal themes of friendship, tolerance, and the victory of the good-hearted.
Dav and his wife enjoy kayaking in the Pacific Northwest.
